Emergency Services

Sequoyah Memorial offers a quality emergency department equipped to handle immediate health conditions. Each year, over 16,000 patients choose our qualified physicians and competent, skilled nurses who provide exceptional care for acute injury or illness. Patient transport is also available through ambulance or helicopter services.

Along with responding to critical medical emergencies, the Sequoyah Memorial Emergency Department is certified to handle emergency stroke situations. In 2010 Sequoyah Memorial was deemed a Stroke Center by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. We have a qualified team of physicians and nurses trained in NIH Stroke Scale Certification and able to provide lifesaving stroke intervention and treatment to patients presenting stroke symptoms. Sequoyah Memorial is partnered with Margaret Tremwel, MD, a leading neurologist with Sparks Health System, to provide care to stroke patients. This is achieved through telemedicine services.
